Jennifer will be interviewed on BBC2 during the Proms broadcast of Nigel Kennedy's concerts on Saturday 26 July

 

Jennifer has been invited to join the BBC New Generation Artists Scheme, for two years beginning in 2008. She will be the youngest member, and the only current British Classical solo instrumentalist.

 

Jennifer wins South Bank Show Breakthough Artist Award 2008! Jennifer has become the first Classical musician ever to win this award, which was presented by Kevin Spacey. The award was decided by a public vote, giving Classical Music a huge boost! See HERE for more information about Jennifer's nomination in The Times, in which music critic Richard Morrison describes Jennifer as "mesmerisingly good".

THE CEREMONY WAS HELD ON 29 JAN AND BROADCAST ON ITV ON SUNDAY 3 FEBRUARY AT 10.40pm

 

Jennifer was nominated recently for the Australian Classical Music Awards in the category "Best Performance of an Australian Composition". This was in recognition of her performance, and recent radio broadcast in Australia, of Sonatina for solo violin by Andrew Schultz. She gave the premiere of this work in the Wigmore Hall in March 2007.

JENNIFER'S 18TH BIRTHDAY WAS  CELEBRATED IN A SENSATIONAL SPECIAL CONCERT AT THE WIGMORE HALL ON 8 NOVEMBER 2007....

 

She recorded the Sibelius Violin Concerto in September with the BBC Symphony Orchestra - look out for future broadcast on Radio 3.

 

JENNIFER PERFORMED MOZART'S VIOLIN CONCERTO NO 3 IN G IN THE BARBICAN HALL WITH THE ACADEMY OF ST MARTIN IN THE FIELDS ON 3 AUGUST AS PART OF THE 2007 MOSTLY MOZART FESTIVAL.

Jennifer wins the Derek Butler London Prize

This new prize was unanimously awarded to Jennifer in a concert at the Wigmore Hall on 9 April 2007.  She was taking part as one of the four Derek Butler postgraduate scholars nominated by the each of the London Music Colleges. 

 

Jennifer appeared in the Wigmore Hall four times in 2007:

 

BBC Broadcasts: In September she recorded the Sibelius Concerto with the BBC Symphony Orchestra for broadcast on BBC Radio 3. Other forthcoming Radio 3 recordings will include the Bruch with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra in October, Mozart's Violin Concerto no 5 in A with the Ulster Orchestra, and recitals in 2008.

 

Jennifer was featured on Songs of Praise, BBC1 18 February 2007, performing part of Vaughan Williams' The Lark Ascending from Wreay, Cumbria. This was selected for the special Songs of Praise highlights programme on BBC1, Sunday 15 July 2007. Jennifer also performed live on Radio 3's In-Tune on 6 April.
